Lay Speaking Ministries Basic Course Instructor Class: Saturday, October 15, 9am - 1 pm
      Trinity UMC in Sumter for the Hartsville District. If another District

      Director would like to send Lay Speakers to this class for instruction they may do so.

      They will need to bring their own Basic Books, both Leaders Guide & Participants. I

      will need to know the names of those who will attend no later than Sept. 23.

The Hartsville District 2012 Spring LS School will be held on Saturday, March 03 & March 17, at Lyttleton Street UMC in Camden, SC. Meet & greet with coffee, juice & do-nuts from 8:30 to 9 am.

Classes are from 9 am until 3:30 pm. Lunch will be provided.

      The costs of the school is $40.00, which covers the cost of the work book, mailing books to each student when they register, snacks at break.

      The classes we are teaching are: 

      Basic - Required for all beginning Local Lay Speakers 

      Advance Classes: 

      Lead in Worship: Develop the practical skills needed for leading worship. 

      Dancing with Words: Storytelling as Legacy, Culture, & Faith 

      Accountable Disciples: Focuses on the concept of the household of God 

      Cultivate Christian Community: Discover what it means to live as Christian disciples
